Roti on the Run
3140 Fulton St · (718) 235-4414

I’m Chief Samsair, the owner of Roti on the Run, where my goal is to make Fulton Street one of the shining examples of East NY. Born in Guyana, I spent my first ten years there before moving to New York, where I grew up immersed in the business world. My entrepreneurial journey began with a 99-cent store, which I successfully transformed into a giant retailer. In 2003, I ventured into the restaurant business, leveraging my experience to establish the first comprehensive Caribbean food restaurant in the area. My hard work has afforded me the freedom to invest in multiple businesses globally, always seeking new opportunities. Committed to keeping Fulton Street clean and safe, I strive to make it an inviting destination for everyone.

AVI Multiservice Corp.
2887 Fulton Street · (718) 827-4440

Born and raised in Sonador, Bonao, in the Dominican Republic, I dedicated over 20 years of my life to the same Company before realizing that true independence was the best path for me. Starting AVI Multiservice Corp. was a rewarding journey, even though I began with $0 and no credit. Initially, we offered long-distance phone calls, cellphones, and prepaid phones, but we have since evolved to provide notary services, translations, and tax assistance. What sets us apart is the genuine, humble approach I bring to serving our community. Our ability to adapt and grow through various challenges is one of our proudest achievements. As a member of the Cypress Hills Business District, I look forward to contributing to making Fulton Street safer and more resourceful for everyone.

"You are unique, and others are themselves.”

June Gonzalez

Resident of Cypress Hills

I’m June Gonzalez and I’m deeply inspired by the Fulton Street/Cypress Hills community, especially the efforts of the BID, which I believe we should all be grateful for. Born and raised in the Bronx, I cherish the community, friendships, and bonds formed here. The area has transformed significantly since 2012, from a place plagued by car theft and darkness to a secure and welcoming neighborhood. The BID’s initiatives, like regular cleanings, improved lighting, and better waste management, have made a tremendous difference. I’ve been part of numerous cleaning events and community support efforts, which have been incredibly rewarding. Looking ahead, I’m hopeful that the community will continue to thrive and recognize the positive changes brought about by the BID’s work.

“Be grateful because of and for the BID”

El Bochito

3082 Fulton Street · (718) 483-8073

Born and raised in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, I am a first-generation Mexican-American and a proud product of the American Dream. My parents worked incredibly hard to give their children opportunities for a better future, and their sacrifices continue to inspire me every day.

I have been around the restaurant industry from a very young age, but I spent the majority of my professional career in banking. When the opportunity came to become a restaurant owner, I took the leap and followed my passion.

Today, I am proud to be the owner of El Bochito Corp, where we specialize in authentic Mexican cuisine. My goal is to bring a true taste of Mexico and a piece of its culture to Cypress Hills, Brooklyn.

Every dish we prepare is made with passion, tradition, and love. El Bochito is more than just a restaurant—it is a reflection of my family’s journey, my Mexican roots, and the American Dream that my parents worked so hard to make possible.
